Decision rules for issuing “Statements of Conformity” on UKAS Certificates are based in ILAC G8 - 09-2019, Page 10.

Please contact the “Head of Laboratory” for clarification/discussion or specific requirements if in doubt.

The following statements will be reported on the certificate. Note UoM = Uncertainty of measurement.

“This item does not conform to the specification” – If UoM will not bring the result into limit.

“This item conditionally does not conform to the specification” – If UoM could bring the result into limit.

“This item conditionally conforms to the specification” – If UoM could take the result out of limit.
-
“This item conforms to the specification” – If UoM will not take the result out of limit.
-
"Unclassified" - The UoM exceeds tolerance of the feature.
